This house breaks from the continuous roofline of its contemporaries. In fact, it is much like the 1907 3-room house, but rotated 90 degrees so that the gable now faces the street. Also contrasting with the other 1917 constructions, the porch features a hip roof, again matching the 1907 houses. This pattern is found mainly on College Street and East Wilson Avenue.
