6 room house

The signature features of this large mill house are its double-window mansard under its high-pitched roof and its off-center front door. The obvious advantage of this style was that 6 room house sketchthe house provides a maximum of square footage on a minimal lot. This way of thinking about providing housing has come back in fashion in the past decade because of soaring land prices which force developers to place a maximum amount of floor plan on a minimal size lot. The result is a multi-story home, like the ones here on Spruce Street. A modern example would be the Water Oak development on Highway 150 West.

This style is found exclusively on Spruce Street.
