This aerial photo shows of front plant around 1939. The building on the left running perpendicular to Main Street and the railroad tracks is Mill no.2, the first mill of the complex to be built. Nearly all of the buildings constructed after Mill no.2 run parallel to main street.

On the left side of the picture, across from the mill sits a typical boarding house. All of the old boarding houses have been destroyed.
